Senate approves bill to protect pregnant workers from unhealthy activities | Politics

At the present time, the CLT provides that the pregnant worker should be removed as much as possible from activities considered unhealthy during the gestation period. In the case of a pregnant woman who carries out unhealthy activities at a medium or minimum degree, the removal will only take place if she presents a medical certificate issued by a trusted doctor who advises her to leave during pregnancy.

In the case of badfeeding mothers, who engage in any unhealthy activity, the withdrawal will be given when she or he submits a medical certificate, also issued by a trusted doctor, who recommends withdrawal during the period .

According to the text approved Tuesday, the rule becomes a remission, regardless of the degree of health and the need for a certificate: pregnant or badfeeding women will be excluded from any activity during the period of gestation or pregnancy. Breastfeeding or operations in unhealthy places and will operate in a safe place.

The proposal provides that a pregnant or badfeeding woman shall not engage in unhealthy activities and operations at the average or minimum level unless she presents, on her own initiative, a medical certificate issued by a doctor of trust, or public health, which authorizes their stay in the exercise of their activities.
