During sleep, blood flow is greater and the cells repair the damage to the organ throughout the day. Reducing the duration of this process means not renewing tissues properly, including nails and hair.

High Sugar Consumption

Christmas combines with panettone, French toast and many other treats, but you have to show moderation in the face of so many treats. Excess sugar causes glycation, a process that links one molecule of glucose to another molecule of protein, such as collagen and elastin. These substances are responsible for keeping the skin younger and firmer. The more sugar there is, the more glycation and protein breakdown, which causes wrinkles, dryness and looseness.

Do not drink enough water

The ideal is to consume two to three liters of water a day. Although skin hydration is not always linked to excessive fluid intake, sweating can promote dryness in hot weather. In case of lack of water, the body gives priority to blood flow to the places where the needs are most pressing, such as the heart, kidneys and liver, and leaves the skin at the back -plan.

Low Vegetable Consumption

The fruits on the dinner table should not only be used as decoration. Several studies emphasize that a balanced diet is beneficial for the age of the skin. Fruits and vegetables are rich in nutrients, such as antioxidants and vitamins, which make skin cells healthier. Vitamins such as lutein, A, C, E, omega 3 and coenzyme Q10, found in many vegetables, help prevent collagen breakage and maintain skin elasticity.

Alcohol Abuse

After a long year, you will not miss meetings with colleagues, friends or family members. Do not abuse alcohol. The substance significantly reduces the levels of antioxidants in the skin and affects immunity, making it difficult to fight against microorganisms.
