A military police officer was killed and four others were shot dead by criminals who blew up three bank branches Wednesday morning in Atibaia, São Paulo State.
According to the police, criminals armed with rifles and machine guns invaded a bank in Plaza Aprígio de Toledo around 3am. The group blew up the inside of the establishment to commit the robbery.
The criminals then invaded and blew up two other banks, one on the same place and the other in an adjacent street.

teams. In the action, the criminals have made points of restraint to prevent the police from arriving in the area of the banks. In one of them, next to the Prime Minister 's company, there was an exchange of gunfire.
Two policemen were injured and one of the prime ministers did not resist and died. In Fernão Dias, shots were also exchanged with a police team traveling to Atibaia. In total, four policemen were shot and saved. No information on the health status of these victims was found before the publication of the report.
After the exchange of gunfire, the criminals managed to escape and are wanted by the police. A car allegedly used by the suspects was abandoned on the spot.
On Wednesday morning, the area where the banks were located was isolated and the Special Tactical Action Group (Gate) was activated, the criminals having left explosives on the scene after the action. Technical teams also operated on the site. Nobody was arrested before 19:15.
