According to official data, the production of jet aircraft accounted for 58% of profits in 2017. Executive aviation accounted for 26% and the defense sector 16%.
In a technical note, Dieese also warns that "the merger" represents a risk to employment because the new company, under the control of Boeing, could move 100% of the workers to the company. commercial aviation, also threatening indirect jobs. Today, the company has 16,000 direct jobs, which contribute to the revitalization of the local economy in the Vale do Paraíba region, in the interior of São Paulo.
The Ministry of Labor (MPT) is concerned about employment. which is still pending in July of this year, so that both companies guarantee the maintenance of jobs after the "merger" and that the production of aircraft is not transferred abroad.
"If both say that the company is fine, but do not guarantee a job, then, for the worker, it is obvious that it is not good."
The government has still 30 days to approve or not approve the "merger" of the company, "companies, but the current chairman, Michel Temer (MDB), and the elected, Jair Bolsonaro (PSL) demonstrate that the transaction will be validated.
