HIV-positive man jailed for raping, conceiving and infected his 14-year-old daughter-in-law | Brazil and World

A 43-year-old HIV-positive man was arrested on Thursday (20) in the Alvorada district of Cuiabá (MT), charged with rape, conception and virus contamination by the daughter-in-law virus 14 years old. The teenager is in the seventh month of gestation.

The suspect, Elizeu do Carmo Sousa, was arrested at his workplace by the civilian police of the police station specializing in the defense of the rights of the child and the adolescent (Deddica), after being arrested by the courts.

The case was denounced by the girl's mother and the suspect's wife on December 14th. The mother, at first, thought that the girl's pregnancy was a boyfriend that the teenager might have in the neighborhood, but then she began to mistrust and take her daughter to the polyclinic.

According to the civilian police, the results were changed and one of them discovered that the teenager was carrying the HIV virus. The mother spoke to her daughter and she said that she had been abused by her stepfather since the age of 12 and that the child she was expecting was hers.

It is only after the results of the tests carried out in the teenager that the mother and daughter knew that Elizeu was HIV positive. After that, he confessed that he had the AIDS virus, which had stopped treatment and had bad with the teenager for more than a year.

The girl said that the first rape occurred in 2017, while she was alone with her stepfather and two sisters, who are now 11 and 12 years old. According to the victim, since the first badual abuse, the suspect has never used a condom

The two younger sisters will be examined by a criminal corpus to confirm that they were also mistreated.
