BRASÍLIA – The General Superintendency of Administrative Council of Economic Defense (Cade) requested the conviction of seven companies and 16 people for having formed a cartel in the context of public offers of 39, purchase of uniforms, backpacks and school supplies. .
According to the technical note obtained by Estadão / Broadcast the project had been submitted by the Department of Education of the State of São Paulo and the municipalities of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Janeiro, Santa Catarina and Goiás between 2007 and 2012.

According to the investigation, the defendants maintained a permanent contact to define prices and proposals, divide the market and designate the winner of each bid. The investigation began in September 2012, when search and seizure operations were conducted at corporate headquarters.
The Superintendent captures documents, e-mails and mobile messages exchanged between participants, demonstrating the combination of proposals and the settlement of accounts between companies.
