A 15-year-old boy was admitted to the entrance examination at the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA), one of the busiest in the country. The result was released Friday (21) and the student, who lives in São José dos Campos, celebrates with his family.

Bernardo Dias, 15, received the news of approval Thursday (20), the day before the publication of the official result. He received a phone call from ITA stating that he was among the approved candidates among the more than 10,700 candidates for 110 jobs – an average of 98 per job.

"He takes things too fast, he has his mathematical thinking," said Father Doniseti Dias.

At age 11, Bernardo decided that He wanted to study at ITA. . The family therefore left Guarulhos to live in São José dos Campos, where he was prepared for the entrance examination and the result arrived this year.

Bernardo was approved for the aeronautical engineering course, he finished 3rd year of high school in 2018 and went on to prepared for the ITA test.

In 2015, another Dolescent Victor Raniery has also achieved this feat. At the time, he was 15 years old when he was approved at ITA, where he studied until today.

This year, ITA adopted for the first time the quota system for blacks, in addition to changing the model of evidence. A total of 110 job offers are offered, 25 of which are reserved for quota holders.

With the new test format, the 10,700 candidates were screened for 60 multiple-choice questions, divided into Portuguese, English, mathematics, physics and chemistry. The top 580 ranked the second step, which approved their approval.

According to ITA, approved candidates in the second phase must still undergo a medical examination. They must show up on the ITA campus starting January 13th and the exam will be finished the next day.

The final marks of the candidates will be available on the website of the institution as of 3 January.

ITA offers six undergraduate courses: aerospace, aeronautics, civil aeronautics, computer science, electronics and aeronautics, mechanics and aeronautics.
