The ship's water draft is now at 44% of its maximum depth, indicating that it has emptied its cargo, according to data from Refinitive Eikon.

The ship changed destination in South Korea in early November, but returned to its marina in the province east of Shandong in December, still fully charged, indicating that it had not been unloaded at that time despite the change of route.

China resumed soybean purchases in the United States earlier this month after the two countries agreed on a 90-day truce as part of their dispute at a meeting in Argentina.

According to data from the US Department of Agriculture, Beijing has since bought about 3 million tons of US soybeans.

But Beijing's tariffs on US oilseed shipments remain in effect. China has set a 25% tariff on a list of US products, including soybeans, on July 6th, in response to similar measures adopted by the United States.
