SÃO PAULO – The Board of Directors of Petrobras has approved the appointment of Roberto Castello Branco as General Manager and Advisor to the company.
The choice of leader had already been announced by the transition team of President-elect Jair Bolsonaro and was appointed to the company by the union on December 14th.
The Board of Directors of Petrobras also approved the waiver, effective December 31, of Ivan Monteiro as Chairman of the Company.
At the same meeting, the Board also dismissed, effective 31, the Executive Director for Strategy, Organization and Management System, Nelson Luiz Costa Silva, and the Executive Director. refining and natural gas, Jorge Celestino Ramos.
Solange da Silva Guedes, Executive Director of Exploration and Production, and Eberaldo de Almeida Neto, Executive Director of Corporate Affairs, will hold these positions respectively for 90 years.
In his statement, Petrobras reiterated that the appointment of Castello Branco had already been badyzed by the board of appointment, remuneration and succession of the board of directors
