Although one of the addresses of the search conducted today is a hotel connected to the lawyer and where his office works, Zanone's workplace was not the search target. Initially, the PF had requested that the office also be targeted, but the prosecutor was against because he understood that it would involve raising suspicions about the action of the defender himself. The judge eventually followed Medina's thesis.
– It is important to say that there is no suspicion against the lawyer – says the investigator, for whom there are three investigative badumptions to check: that Adélio Bispo acted alone, that it was funded by a radical organized political group and that it would have been funded by a criminal organization.
During the searches, they seized the cell phone of the lawyer (when the Brazilian Bar was activated), but according to the prosecutor, the goal is only to identify the financier of the defense, because the investigation has already revealed that neither the author nor his relatives have hired the lawyers.
– No message involving a defense technique or strategy will be used for the instruction of this investigation or any other. The inviolability of the lawyer and the client will be respected – explains the attorney to whom today's action can help make Adélio's defense more fluid, he also funds the defense to ensure the silence of the author.
Investigators were looking for pictures of the hotel's security camera to try to confirm if the funder appears in the videos, once the lawyer said he had met at the office.
One of the addresses is an ice cream shop in Zanone, the purpose is to look for documents that the lawyer may have left in these places and related to the Adélio case.
