Two 29-year-old twin brothers were sentenced to 30 years in prison by the Federal Court of Santos, off the coast of São Paulo, for raping minors and teenagers and for storing and distributing drugs. images containing child badgraphy on the Internet. The crimes were committed for 10 years and the victims are the cousins of the perpetrators, who are already in prison.

The twins previously lived in the Vicente de Carvalho district, in Guarujá, and were the target of a federal police operation in May this year. Against them, a complaint had been brought against badual abuse and the exchange of illegal files on the Web. The investigations confirmed the suspicions and the justice decided to stop them preventively.

After the testimony of the witnesses and the victims themselves, the police and the federal public prosecutor found that the brothers were living in their grandmother's house. Their cousins were left alternately at home by their own parents, who had to go to work, for example, and returned to pick them up at the end of the day.

The federal police identified at least three victims, but only two of them were able to join the process because of the length of time that involved the third. It is a girl and a boy who have been raped countless times while they were between 5 and 12 years old and at different times under the responsibility of their cousins.

Acts of badual violence included penetration, oral bad, and manipulation of intimate organs. The victims were deprived of water and food if they did not obey the orders of the brothers, who even threatened them and made them sing after the abuses committed, so that they do not tell what happened to their parents or loved ones.

The girl even defended his brother so that he was not a victim of the same violence and yielded to the speech of the twins not to interest the youngest. Already, the boy, a victim of constant rape at his grandmother's, had also been abused by his cousins in the bathroom of a church where the whole family followed each week.

One of the reports that shocked the investigators was that the twins had a habit of ejaculating in the food that was then served to the victims. In addition, they forced them to watch videos containing child badgraphy uploaded by suppliers on deepweb (Deep Web, in Portuguese), to which all users do not have access.

The Federal Police is in charge of the Internet material-sharing case, which is a transnational crime. In court, the twins, whose names were not disclosed to protect the victims, denied the crimes. They remain imprisoned but can appeal the sentence handed down by Judge Roberto Lemos dos Santos Filho of the 5th Federal Court of Santos to a higher court.

The second phase of Operation Twins (twins, in English) was launched with a view to arresting the brothers after authorization of the 5th Federal Court of Justice of Santos. Initially, police officers were able to locate and seize six cell phones and computers carrying traces of image files (photos and videos) containing child badgraphy in the targeted home.

At the time, one of the brothers worked in a building and the other in a pizzeria in the city. All the material seized at the time was sent to the expertise to badyze. As a preliminary, the federal police had already identified traces of transnational cyber-crimes by using the Internet for sharing.
