Two-time world champion Gabriel Medina was received at a party this Saturday in São Paulo. The surfer landed at Guarulhos airport at around 9:35 am on his return from winning the world circuit title in Hawaii. On the day of her 25th birthday, Medina was greeted by fans, students from the Gabriel Medina Institute and a battalion of journalists.
Upon his arrival, the surfer did not speak to the press. He has a press conference scheduled for Saturday afternoon in São Paulo. In the evening, he will celebrate the title and his birthday at an event also closed in São Paulo.
On Sunday morning, the surfer goes to São Sebastião, on the coast of São Paulo. There, he will parade through the streets of the city in a fire engine.
The parade in the firefighters' car will leave Boiçucança to go to the International Surfing Plaza, on the beach of Maresias. In the square, the public will be able to watch the band's Koala Joe show and discover the best waves surfed by Gabriel Medina at the World Surf Championships.
Gabriel Medina won the World Surf Championship on Monday, September 17th at Pipeline, Hawaii.
