The CNH digital (national driver's license) is no longer a novelty. Since last October, anyone who has a driver's license with the QR code, code printed on the back of the document, can download the document on the mobile phone. Despite the advance, only 2,547 Acre drivers have the option downloaded to the phone.
In Brazil, about 620,000 drivers, out of the 25 million Brazilians who already have the qualification with the QR Code, have the digital CNH.
In the northern region, they are just over 33,000. Rondônia (14,532) is the state that has the highest number of drivers for whom the driver's license has been downloaded to the smartphone. Then Amazonas (7,376), Pará (3,427), Tocantins (3,135), Acre (2,547), Roraima (1,662) and Amapá (1,109).
For the Ministry of Cities, one of the problems of this weak membership was the need to go to a Detran station to validate the information if the driver did not have a digital certificate. But that has now changed and it is possible to access the digital CNH without leaving home.
"The Ministry of Cities of Denatram, together with Serpro, has developed facial recognition, which is an additional security tool to offer users the opportunity to have smartphones and other phones throughout Brazil," said the Minister of Cities, Alexandre Baldy.
