Unegro repudiates the murder of Dinho in Sorocaba The Union of Blacks and Blacks for Equality (UNEGRO) expresses deep regret and indignation at the murder of Dinho (Milton Expedito do Nascimento)

Dinho (Milton Expedito do Nascimento), 33 years old, December 23rd in Sorocaba / SP. It is even more regrettable that the project that killed his life was loosely given by the military police, which has the responsibility to protect the citizens. We are repelled by the military police's attempt to justify the brutal execution with an improbable story. The Constitution of this institution is to preserve the dignity of the human person, his physical integrity and his life. The Brazilian Constitution, promulgated in 1988, does not provide for the death penalty.

Dinho was a young man engaged in social projects. He worked for PROCON and was director of the cultural radio Rádio Comunitária, where he held a program every Sunday, heavily involved in hip hop culture and composed of the municipal leadership of Sorocaba's UNEGRO

The system of Public security, ideologically coined by the Brazilian socio-economic elite, has not yet abandoned the planned project of extermination of the black population According to the Atlas of Violence of 2018, Brazil has accumulated 325,000 murder victims in 11 years, 94% of whom are between the ages of 15 and 29, 77% of whom are Black. For UNEGRO, the badbadination of Dinho is a sad scenario that we denounce several times 30 years ago: racism is an instrument of death and therefore determines the negro as a standard suspect.

We are seeing the growing number of badbadinations of black leaders: Marielle Franco, Moa Katendê, Charlione Albuquerque and Milton Dinho multiply the killings of LGBT and women. The wave of conservative hatred that has invaded Brazil, has badumed the presidency of the Republic and is trying to impinge on rights defenders, will not silence the UNEGRO, the black movement and the Brazilian social movements.

We request the immediate dismissal of the persons involved and the initiation of an investigation to determine the responsibilities of witnesses. We alert them that police have tried to put pressure on them in Sorocaba

We call all friends of UNEGRO, fighters and social fighters, Democrats and other members of the UNEGRO family, to punish them according to the law.

We demand compensation and protection of family members.

We will be attentive to the procedures that will be adopted by the authorities.

We express our solidarity to the families, to UNEGRO and to the black movement of Sorocaba
