For many users, having a space under Android is a challenge. Even models with powerful storage quickly become cluttered and the reasons may vary, depending on the size of the system, applications or the habit of downloading many media files. However, some features allow you to free the internal memory of the mobile phone with Google's operating system. Those interested can flush the cache, delete duplicate items, or even install file managers, such as ES File Explorer.
To help you in this task, TechTudo gathers ten tips below so that your Android smartphone is always free from any useless recording with enough space. The instructions can be adopted in different versions of the system and include both native tools and applications that facilitate optimization. Do not forget that all the headings indicate maintenance tactics, that is to say that the execution must be performed periodically.

1. Clear cache
The cache is a fast access memory because it contains the most commonly used data and instructions used by the processor. The goal is to speed up system execution because much of the data will already be stored when an application remains active or reopens.
The disadvantage is that these files take up space on the mobile phone and that, over time, this storage may be missing. To avoid or fix the problem, periodically clear the cache. The procedure varies a bit between Android O and earlier versions of the system, but the change is not too brutal.
To perform the operation, the user must access the "Configure" menu, then access "Applications" (or "Applications and Notifications") and select the software in question. Up to Android 7 (Nougat), the "Clear Cache" button is already available on this screen. Since Android 8 (Oreo), you have to go to "Storage" to find the function.

2. Uninstall applications that you do not use
Try to uninstall applications that are no longer useful to you. This can be done manually by opening the Android apps menu and badyzing it one by one. During the process, it is common to find forgotten software, which can give way to other programs and really useful files.
A tip on Google Play can make this task easier without installing anything else. Open the Google Apps Store, go to "My Apps and My Games" and select the "Installed" tab. Click the "Sort By" tool and choose "Last Use". At the end of the list will be grouped all the applications without any utility for the user.
3. Delete previously uninstalled files and application folders
It is not always possible to delete all the files of an application when uninstalling the operating system. Several programs leave traces that take in memory. To get rid of it, use the ES File Explorer ES File Explorer.
Install the application on the TechTudo page, open it and enter in the "Cleaner" tool. Check the "Recycle Bin" field, which will indicate the space that unnecessary files are spending on your phone. Select the other fields, if desired, and press the "Clear Now" item to automatically free memory.
Android 8 (Oreo) has introduced more native features to optimize space management. By entering the "Storage" menu, the user identifies the "Free Space" button, which displays a list of unnecessary files, according to the criteria of the system itself. Simply select the unwanted media and click "Free", which indicates the size to save after the action.
The group also began to propose a "storage manager", able to delete photos and videos of a given period (more than 30, 60 or 90 days). For security reasons, this feature only excludes media backed up in the cloud. The initiative aims to prevent interested parties from losing important content through negligence.

5. Backup with Google Photos
Google Photos is preinstalled on Android phones and has a built-in tool to free up space on your phone. It identifies all the photos and videos saved in the backup in Google Cloud, Google Drive and removes them from the device.
To use the function, open the photo application, open the main menu and go to "Clear Space". Confirm the operation by pressing the "Release" button in which the media size will be written together. The operation requires that you have already saved and synchronized.
] 6. Use an application
Android offers a varied list of specific applications for system optimization, most of which are based on saving space, such as the DU Speed Booster, The Cleaner and Google files.
Everyone has a mechanic to clean the system and delete unnecessary files. TechTudo brings together a number of tutorials to teach you how to use apps optimized for Android, such as the UA-based Booster, and the latter, which explains step by step how to use the All Toolbox. in-one.

In this way, you can move applications to the microSD, transfer documents, photos and videos, while leaving free space for what needs to be in the device, namely the most essential functions.

8. Delete downloaded files
All files saved in the Google operating system are saved in the "Downloads" folder. Over time, the directory is full of images, videos and PDFs that in some cases have been downloaded for one-time use and are therefore consumable.
Interested parties can dispose of this waste in a simple manner. Just open the file manager – the system itself or your favorite application – locate the "Downloads" folder and check what's there. Select the items to be removed and drop them in the tray.
9. Delete Duplicate Files
Duplicate files are a common cause of space used unnecessarily. The old Files Go, now called Files, is one of the many application options that have a dedicated tool for deleting duplicate media. One of the benefits of the Google app is that this feature not only badyzes photos and videos, but also covers audio files, documents and any other type of file.
When you open the software, note that the function is displayed on the main screen, opened by default on the "Clean" tab. Then go to "Duplicate Files" and click on the circle in the upper right corner to delete all copies or select them one by one. Press the "Delete" button and old versions of the files have been removed from the device. 10. Delete WhatsApp Support
It is almost essential to delete WhatsApp files consistently for frequent users of the messenger. The audios, videos, photos and documents sent and received are saved on the device even after their deletion in the chat window. This causes the false impression that the space has been released.
To delete these contents, download Power Clean and open it in the central tab, which combines the advanced features. Enter "Clean WhatsApp" and select each category of media. Check the ones you want to delete, then press the corresponding button to confirm the deletion.
