Brazilian hunters will be allowed to shoot suspicious aircraft on the day of departure.

Michel Temer (MDB), current president, and Joaquim Silva, Minister of National Defense, and Luna signed a decree authorizing the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) to fire "a suspicious aircraft or hostile that may pose a threat to security "the very day of the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Jair Bolsonaro on 1 January.

The text, published Friday in the Official Journal, states that any alleged aircraft may be fired throughout the Brazilian airspace

The decree defines five criteria applicable to aircraft that can be shot down:

1 – No -respect of the decisions issued by the aerospace defense authorities, after being clbadified as suspect.

2 – Attack, maneuver or behave in such a way as to show aggression, putting himself in a position to attack another aircraft.

3 – Attack or get ready to attack any military or civilian installation or public agglomeration

4 – Launch or prepare to launch, on the national territory, without authorization, any material or war artifact that may cause damage, death or destruction

5 – Launching of paratroopers, disembarkation of troops or equipment for military use on the national territory without authorization
