There is no doubt that the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 is one of the most popular devices of the year because it combines powerful equipment at a great price. However, the device has some weaknesses. And it seems that two of them have been solved with the update sent by the Chinese company.

One of them records at 4K at 60 fps. The update sent by Xiaomi, which has recently been upgraded to Android 9.0 Pie, adds this video capture mode, previously absent in Pocophone F1.

Another problem corrected by the update was software limitations that prevented the playback of high quality 480p videos in streaming services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime. Xiaomi has finally added Google Widevine Level 1 support. Until then, Pocophone was supported only at level 3.

These two software modifications add to a series of fixes resolved with the help of numerous bugs affecting this model, such as touch latency, 4G problems after the disconnection of Wi-Fi, among others.

Earlier this month, the Pocophone F1 received the update for Android Pie in version 10.1 of MIUI, the latest from Xiaomi. According to the company's change log, the update has brought support for Google Lens and also fixes Android Auto's defects, headset and lock screen configuration. Xiaomi has also released the kernel source code for the device.
