The Bank of Brazil informed on Monday 31st in a communication to the Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) that Fabrício da Soller had resigned as chairman of the board of directors. The institution has not informed who will be his substitute.
Banco do Brasil also announced the resignation of Reinaldo Kazufumi Yokoyama as Director of Distribution. The executive has been elected to the position of director of clients, sales and products of BB Seguridade Participações SA, a subsidiary of BB.
More than 50 executives leave Banco do Brasil and its badociated companies.
The exchange of government and, consequently, the command of the public banks motivated a real landing of leaders of Banco do Brasil and related companies. To date, more than 50 people, including vice-presidents, directors, general managers and directors, have left the conglomerate.
Rodrigo Nogueira, president of BB Tecnologia e Serviços, and the president of Brasil Dental, a joint venture of the bank with Odontoprev, Carlos Caffarelli, left the institution this month. The replacement of open or temporary vacancies is blocked for the moment, in the expectation of future management of BB. On the domestic front, the feeling is that there must be a reduction in the bank's chart, which added 97,232 employees by the end of September.
Outputs should facilitate staff reduction efforts. The restructuring of BB's management in the past, which eliminated the 12,383 employees, further affected the branches, keeping the board almost intact. Currently, there are nine vice-presidencies and 27 directorates, the maximum number provided by the statutes, in addition to 11 units with the same status of directorates.
The list of BB victims is getting longer every day. This change was already expected, however, as the change in bank management was a trigger for leaders who were already in a position to retire or who were preparing for new challenges.
