Who goes to Jair Bolsonaro's possession

Jair Bolsonaro (PSL), endowed with an unprecedented security system in the Esplanada of Ministries, will badume the presidency of the Republic on 1 January. At least 12 heads of state must attend the event, as well as representatives of 11 other countries. The last head of state to confirm his presence was Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

His presence was confirmed last Thursday (27) by the Embbady. Netanyahu met Bolsonaro in Brazil on Friday (28). Initially, he would not stay in power, but he changed his mind two days before the meeting and confirmed his presence at the protest.

Chilean presidents Sebastian Piñera are confirmed among the neighbors of Latin America. Iván Duque, from Colombia; Mario Abdo, from Paraguay; Martín Vizacarra, from Peru; Tabaré Vázquez, from Uruguay; and Evo Morales of Bolivia. The president of Argentina, Maurício Macri, should not attend the inauguration of Bolsonaro.

The other heads of state who have confirmed their presence are Viktor Orbán, Hungarian Prime Minister; Juan Orlando Hernández, President of Honduras; Saadedine Othmani, Prime Minister of Morocco; and Jorge Carlos Fonseca, President of Cape Verde. The President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Souza, has also confirmed his presence. He will represent Prime Minister António Costa.

Representatives of countries such as China, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Russia, Spain, Italy, Sao Tome and Principe, Guinea, the United States, Angola and Argentina are also on the list. The United States will send Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to the event.

The list of "undesirables"

The possession of Bolsonaro sparked controversy because of another list, that of the desconvidados. At first, Itamaraty had invited the representatives of Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, but on the advice of the elected president's team, the countries to which the invitations had been withdrawn were withdrawn.

On Twitter, Bolsonaro said that "regimes that violate the freedoms of their peoples" will not be received for possession. "We really defend and respect democracy," he added.

However, China remains invited and will send as representative the Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the People's Assembly (Parliament), Ji Bingxuan. The same goes for Russia, commissioned 18 years ago by Vladimir Putin, who will send a representative for the possession of Bolsonaro.
