The Pope asks the Church not to remain indifferent to slavery

Pope Benedict asked on Monday the faithful to reflect "with pain and repentance", because during this year that ends, thousands of people have lived and lived in Rome and in the world in conditions of slavery and asked the Church to stay "in" the reality lived by the poor.
