Beware of older smart phones made by Nokia prior to its recent design. WhatsApp, the most used messaging application in the world, will no longer be available from this Tuesday, Jan. 1 on a number of these devices.
WhatsApp stated that anyone using a phone with the Nokia S40 operating system would have access to the application by December 31, 2018.
The S40 is a software developed by Nokia in 1999 and which, according to the Finnish company, has been used "in hundreds of millions" of mobile phones.
These are the Nokia 206 and 208, Nokia 301, Nokia 515 and much of the Nokia Asha C3, X2 and X3 series. These devices are still being sold as an alternative to the most famous smartphones in many stores and websites.
