The President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, received on Monday (1Jan.2018) the heads of state and the international authorities during a badtail held at the Itamaraty Palace. The reception took place shortly after the inauguration ceremony at Plbadto Palace.
Authorities began charging at Itamaraty at 5 pm According to tradition, Bolsonaro was the last to arrive at 7:10 am, accompanied by First Lady Michelle Bolsonaro and future Foreign Minister Ernesto Araújo. The vice-president, General Hamilton Mourão, arrived a little earlier, at 18:52.
Up to 3 hours before the badtail party at Itamaraty, the presence of 10 heads of state, 3 vice presidents, 11 foreign ministers and 18 special envoys and 3 directors of international organizations present at the event. Until this Monday (31.20.20), 11 heads of state had confirmed their presence. The President of Chile, Sebastián Piñera, was one of the first heads of state to attend the badtail party and announced to the press that he intended to strengthen relations between the two countries.

The President of Portugal, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, also participated in the badtail party. In an interview with the press, he announced his intention to cooperate with Brazil, particularly in the fields of energy, technology and tourism. According to the Portuguese president, this Monday, January 2 at 6:45 pm, he will meet Bolsonaro.
"Everything important to Brazil is important to us" he said.
Representative Donald Trump, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, also went to Itamaraty, but left 16 minutes after the arrival of Bolsonaro at 19:27, not to mention the press.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, of Israel, claimed that the possession of Bolsonaro was a great day for Brazil.
The Apostolic Nuncio of Ecuador, Bishop Andres Carrascosa, representing Pope Francis, was also present at the event.
Brazilian guests included STF President Dias Toffoli and Senate Speaker Eunice Oliveira (MDB-CE)
After the badtail party, which ended around 9:10 pm, Bolsonaro returned at the Granja do Torto, one of the official residences of the Presidency of the Republic. The President has been living with his family and friends since last Saturday, June 29, 18.
The exact number of authorities present could not be confirmed. At the end of the event, the ministry's press office had not spoken yet. But if only the 10 heads of state are confirmed, this is the smallest number of foreign leaders in power since Fernando Henrique Cardoso.

The first lady, who wore a pale pink dress to her shoulders during the inauguration ceremonies, changed clothes for a long black lace dress for the badtail party.

RESTRICTIONS TO JOURNALISTS
Among the places where Bolsonaro spent the day of its inauguration, Itamaraty Palace was the place where journalists had the most restrictions to access the ceremony.
Journalists remained in a closed press committee and could only use the building to go to the bathroom. They attended the inauguration by means of 4 screens inside the room.
At 5 pm only, the professionals left the place to follow the arrival of the international authorities. Around 7.45 am, before the end of the badtail, they had to leave. Access to the authorities was possible only because some of the guests went to speak to the press.
They will not have access to the badtail party nor will they be able to interview the authorities
Five journalists left the premises and leave the cover at Itamaraty: 3 journalists from France 24, 1 from the press agency Chinese Xinhua and 1 Brazilian car professional.
