Dragon Ball Super: Broly

Super Dragon Ball: Broly finally puts one of the most well-known characters in the franchise in the cannon. The film manages to find the balance between the clbadic ambience of Dragon Ball with the fights of Dragon Ball Z and creates a fun adventure that will particularly captivate fans of franchise.

Akira Toriyama clearly shows in this film some of his main inspirations. The creator of the franchise leaves the relationship between Goku and Superman even closer to the origins of Sayajin and, like the Steel Man, the warrior relies on a biologically concerned mother while his father is the only one to feel the imminent end of your planet. Despite the fact that it presents a new and interesting part of the story, the moment may embarrbad some older fans of the series, because the destruction of the planet Vegeta appeared several times during the episodes of the series.

At the same time that he connects Goku to Superman, the author connects Broly to Star Trek. (Toriyama made several references to the series, notably in Dr. Slump the manga that he created before Dragon Ball ).

This time, the fight is only against the two and the animation is able to create some of the best puzzle of the franchise.

All this is counterbalanced by the clbadic humor of Toriyama, especially appeared in Dragon Ball . Some moments involving Goku and even Freeza can turn tense moments into hilary and make the viewer ignore a few holes in the script.
