A 15-year-old man was arrested by police after stabbing his brother and sister aged 11 and 8 respectively. The case occurred last Thursday (10) in Pessac, Gironde, in the south-west of France.
The perpetrator was alone at home with the two brothers. The young man told the police that he felt "wronged". He stabbed the two children and then escaped without helping the wounded brothers several times with a knife.
The attacker was arrested about an hour after the attack while he was preparing to take a train to the station located next to the house. According to France 3, the police could locate him thanks to his smartphone.
The same source states that both children remain hospitalized but are no longer at risk.
After her arrest, the teenager undergoes a psychiatric evaluation. However, no "mental or psychic anomaly has been detected", said the prosecutor of Bordeaux, Marie-Madeleine Alliot.
