North Korean leader Kim Jong Un arrived in Beijing on Tuesday for a visit to China, where he will hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, South Korea. Yonhap.
The agency released a photo of the North Korean leader's train, dark green with yellow stripes, entering the station at 10:55 local time (00:55 GMT).
China is an important diplomatic ally of North Korea and the main trading partner of Pyongyang.
According to the North Korean Korean agency KCNA, Kim will visit China "from January 7 to 10 […] at the invitation of President Xi Jinping."
This will be Kim's fourth visit to Xi Jinping after three trips to China in 2018.
The North Korean leader came to power at the end of 2011 but had his first meeting with the Chinese president in March only. after a period of deterioration of bilateral relations.
Kim Jong A remains in the neighboring country until Thursday, reported Xinhua news agency.
This is Kim's fourth encounter with Xi. The visit comes amid reports of progress in talks on a second meeting between the North Korean leader and US President Donald Trump.
