The PDT on Tuesday (8) called on the Federal Supreme Court (STF) to suspend the act of President Jair Bolsonaro who had extinguished the Ministry of Labor.
Extinction was published in an interim measure (MP) published by Bolsonaro on January 1st. The MP has restructured the entire esplanade of ministries, creating new files, turning off others and defining new attributions for organs, for example.
Also in December, during the transition of the government, Onyx Lorenzoni, the current Minister of the Civil House, had already announced that Bolsonaro would extinguish the ministry and divide the responsibilities between the files Economy, Justice and Citizenship.
- In the action presented to the STF, the PDT argues that Bolsonaro's decision sprays the actions and allotments of the portfolio and represents a weakening of rights provided by the Constitution for the right of I work in Brazil.
"The extinction of this body is unconstitutional," says the action. According to the acronym, the Ministry of Labor supervises, for example, forced labor.
"This measure [extinção] removes the proper implementation of social rights in labor relations," adds the PDT.
The rapporteur for the action is the Minister Ricardo Lewandowski, but the President of the Court, Dias Toffoli, can badyze if there is urgency and make a decision again in the suspension of the judiciary, which ends in February.
This is the second case before the Court against the Bolsonaro measure. The first was presented by the National Federation of Lawyers on January 2nd.
