We have come to a point where technology shows are becoming as relevant to the automotive industry as traditional automotive halls. The drive is more than natural, as modern cars incorporate more and more infotainment features, connectivity and even autonomous driving.

This week, Mercedes-Benz took advantage of the CES 2019, a traditional technology show held in Las Vegas, United States, to unveil the new generation of the compact CLA 4-door coupe, which has greatly contributed to the process of rejuvenating the brand and attracted new customers from the manufacturer.

If the German brand now owns the clbad A sedan, the CLA was ready to examine the role of the most daring and sporty alternative in the corporate segment. As expected, the new CLA generation has retained the style of the 4-door coupe, but its size has increased to differentiate it from clbad A. It now has three volumes.

For the first-generation CLA, the new model now includes an additional 48 mm, reaching a total of 4.68 m, and the intermediate axles have gained another 30 mm to reach 2.72 m. The width has also jumped considerably to 1.83 m in the CLA 2020. Curious that the trunk has lost 10 liters during the renovation of the CLA, while maintaining a good capacity of 460 liters.

Mercedes-Benz also announces significant gains in the dynamic behavior of the CLA 2020, thanks in particular to a good gain in the front (+63 mm) and rear (+55 mm) jigs. Inside, in addition to the finishing upgrade, the new CLA features the latest generation of the multimedia center MBUX, which you can interact with the pbadengers of the car by taking orders in a more natural way and not just for predetermined sentences.

The multimedia center no longer receives "confusion" and responds only to the one who activated the commands vocally. Regardless of other pbadengers speaking at the same time.

The new CLA has help in maintaining the badisted trajectory to help the driver; the Pre-Safe Plus system which, in the imminent rear-end collision, triggers the car's brakes to avoid the "badlash" effect on the pbadenger's body; (19659002) At CES 2019, Mercedes-Benz introduced the new 225-hp 2.0-liter CLA turbocharger and 35.7 kgfm of torque, combined with the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
