The body of a 20-year-old boy missing since Thursday (10) in Navegantes, on the north coast, was found Friday afternoon (11). He was spotted by a beach guard at the beach. The victim has been identified as Paulo Sérgio Antunes dos Santos, according to the fire department.
The body was found around 14 hours. According to firefighters, the young man drowned at the 2nd post of Praia de Navegantes, in the center, and was found in the sand between posts 5 and 6, in Meia Praia. He remained immersed for about 30 hours.
According to firefighters, the young man's father performed the reconnaissance. The civilian police were in place to finalize the procedures for removing the teenager from the water.
According to city firefighters, the boy was living in Navegantes and disappeared around 9:30 am on the beach. A friend of the victim informed the rescuers that he had entered the water and had been submerged.
Still according to the firefighter's friend of the victim, the young man allegedly consumed alcoholic beverages until the next morning and would have gone to sea to mitigate the effects of the drink on his body.
