I think it's my duty to express a few words about the attack perpetrated on Professor Flávio Almeida, my student, companion and friend, who works to create something positive to help humanity through Jiu-Jitsu and Gracie Barra.
What is most saddening is not just the attack. occurred. But also the negative and destructive feelings that motivated this group of attackers to commit such a barbaric and cowardly act of violence against a member of our team.
Gracie Barra wants to develop her help. to the next through Jiu-Jitsu. We work for a healthy lifestyle for as many people as possible, creating a climate of friendship and cooperation between all.
We uphold a philosophy of health, friendship, cooperation and let us not preach violence, only to be admitted as a last resort in extreme situations requiring self-defense. These values make our team a movement of prosperity and happiness, which has a positive impact on all members of the global Gracie Barra community, as well as the jiu-jitsu community in general.
Unfortunately, some people feel uncomfortable with our success and interpret our positive emotional state as an offense. While the prosperity of our team contributes to raising the level of professionalism and experience of Jiu-Jitsu students around the world, these people react in an immature and selfish way, sparking negative feelings and negative thoughts against me. and many other leaders of our team.
The mental state of these individuals makes me really sad and worried. These people should be happy to see the success of Gracie Barra. Although they grew up next to me, they did not have the ability to absorb the positive fluids and philosophy of Jiu-Jitsu.
They followed their own path, built their own lives, and managed to reach abundance and prosperity. financial management. However, they have not reached fullness nor conquered the greatest gift of life: happiness. They are extremely disturbed by the success of others and troubled to see someone working in an effective and pbadionate way to achieve greater goals, difference for Jiu-Jitsu and for humanity. But unfortunately, I do not have the power to change their mental state, which seems to me rooted in pernicious, selfish and self-destructive beliefs ] Gracie Barra will not be intimidated by this attack. We will continue our work focused on improving people's lives through Jiu-Jitsu. We remain committed to the development and expansion of our team, renewing our energies and motivation, to achieve great goals in favor of Jiu-Jitsu.
