A man attacked with a knife and held hostage for nearly three hours Sunday night (14), an employee of the National Agency of Civil Aviation (ANAC) at the airport International Guarulhos, in Greater São Paulo.
After negotiating with the police, Leandro Evangelista Ferreira de Souza, 31, was arrested in flagrante delicto of attempted murder and detention in a private prison. The victim was released without any injuries. The man had been out of jail for a week after serving his sentence for robbery.
The attack took place around 22:30, inside the office of Anac. The location is next to an airport station.

During the negotiation, Souza remained with the Anac employee behind a door and the police on the other side only opened it from time to time, but the police explained to him that it was very difficult to to hold a conversation.
He asked to speak by phone to his family, who is in Bahia, and then the police themselves spoke to the family of Souza, who stated that he was suffering from a syndrome of panic. convinced him to release the victim after he calmed himself down.
"He was very angry, he was very angry, he felt persecuted, it is true, he was afraid to die, but with the result of the negotiations and he talked with loved ones and has calmed down to surrender, "said military police captain Martins Marques.
Airport officials told the police that the man was not a pbadenger and that he was walking aimlessly into the terminal a few days ago.
