This 21-year-old American woman accused of murdering a couple and kidnapping their 13-year-old daughter chose her target while she was on a school bus, according to his testimony published on Monday.

Jake Patterson presented a video testimony of his cell to the Barron County Judge in the state of Wisconsin.

The young man is charged with murder and kidnapping and should being sentenced to life imprisonment.

Patterson admitted to being the perpetrator of the crimes shortly after his arres after the escape of teenager Jayme Closs, who had been held captive for nearly three months in an isolated region of the Great Lakes region.

Patterson explained how he murdered James and Denise Closs, aged 56 and 46, respectively, on October 15 at the family home outside the town of Barron, just to kidnap him. teenager.

The murderer, who had no fixed job, saw Jayme get on the bus in the morning, and even without knowing it, he knew that it was "the girl" that he was going to kidnap, according to the investigators.

Before executing his plan, he visited at least two times at Closs House, but gave up because of the presence of visitors.

Armed with a shotgun of his father, he returned to the scene on October 15, after having cut his hair and shaved. He put on gloves and a hood.

Upon his arrival at home, he killed his father at the main door, before bursting into the bathroom door, where Jayme and his mother took refuge.

After ordering Denise Closs to cover the mouth of her daughter, the woman's head and kidnapped Jayme, who was placed in the trunk of the car.

Patterson kept the teenage girl captive at her home in an isolated area of ​​the Gordon suburb, 100 km north of Barron.

When she received visits, she forced the teenager to hide under the bed and lift the radio to cover the slightest sound.

Under threat, she forced the girl to stay under the bed every time she left the house, but Jayme escaped last Thursday.

After a night at the hospital, she was delivered to her aunt last Friday. His grandfather, Robert Naiberg, said that the girl "is exceptionally aware of all that she has experienced".
