The IRS has ruled out 521,018 micro and small businesses that do not pay debts with the Nacional Simples, a special tax regime for small businesses.

In September, 732,664 businesses were informed of their social security and pension obligations with the tax authorities and the Attorney General of the Treasury. People who did not regularize the situation were excluded on January 1st.

Excluded corporations owe R $ 14.56 billion to Singles. They may apply for reinstatement under the special scheme until January 31, provided that they remove the debts before that date. The debt can be paid in cash or following the ordinary payment, with a payment of fines and interest, within a maximum period of five years.

The consultation of the tax situation of the company and the requests for regularization can be made via the national portal Simple.
