In Brazil, the role of football goes far beyond the sporting part. On the social level, sport develops an important function, changes lives and contributes to a series of important projects. In this sense, clubs often leave aside the rivalry to help a cause. The Corinthians have once again done it.

In an open letter, jointly with the rivals of Palmeiras and São Paulo, Timão confirmed his adherence to the project "Há Salida", organized by the São Paulo City Council in partnership with the Public Prosecutor, the Court of Justice, the Office of the Ombudsman, SP and UN Women.

The main purpose of the initiative is to insert women into a situation of domestic violence in the labor market, ending the financial dependence of the aggressor and the prompting to denounce it.

"The three biggest clubs in São Paulo leave out their differences so that all women, regardless of the heart team, can be financially independent of their aggressor, thus breaking the cycle of violence," says an extract from the document – check in full below.

The project is even more important because of the high rates of feminicides recorded in Brazil – the country is fifth in the world ranking of the article. The rivals then become co-brothers to change this reality.
