The Central Bank granted a license to C6 Bank to begin operations. The approval was published this Friday in the Official Journal of the Union. This is the first license granted since 2016.

The Central Bank allows the bank C6, future competitor of the Nubank, to begin its activities
. The C6 bank was created by former BTG executives and will have as president Marcelo Kalim, one of the founding partners of the company. The bank will have a digital model, that is, it will work without physical agencies. The new bank has a capital of R $ 250 million and planned investments of R $ 500 million until December. In addition, the C6 Bank will be exempt from bank transaction fees such as:
- Opening of Accounts,
- Account Management,
- Withdrawals at ATMs, 24 hours a day,
- will dispose of a complete portfolio of financial services, such as investments in bank deposit certificates (CDB), multiple cards (credit and debit), ticket payment, etc.
At the beginning of his activities, access to banking services will only be collaborators (employees and guests). However, the bank intends to offer this service to the public as early as the second half of 2019.
The bank currently has 320 employees, who are already testing the company's credit card. The C6 Bank Building occupies an area of over 8,000 square meters in the Jardins district of São Paulo.
