Three criminals targeted three cars on the Monday night (21) on the Tamoios Highway (SP-99), in the Paraibuna (SP) section. According to State Highways Police (PRE), at least two security guards were injured in the blast. The highway was prohibited on the kilometer 56 section, in both directions, as explosives were on the runway. The Prime Minister's Tactical Action (Door) Task Force was activated and the situation on the highway returned to normal after 2 am on Tuesday (22).
According to the PRE, the criminals made a barrier with explosives on the road and waited for the arrival of the three strong cars that followed by train. Two of them were hit by the explosion and the third vehicle broke through the protective barrier of the central bed and managed to escape. Two security guards were injured, but they are not risking death.
Tamoios reported that an ambulance dealer had rescued one of the victims of Stella Maris in Caraguatatuba. The hospital did not report the health of the caretaker. There is no other information about the victims.
The incident occurred around 7 pm and frightened drivers driving on the road. Driver Edluce Silva said the criminals approached three powerful cars. "There was a lot of smoke on the highway, a horrible thing," he said.
The highway was banned for door work and was released shortly after 2 am.
