The mother and father-in-law of the 11-year-old missing girl were arrested this afternoon in Barra do Piraí, RJ. Their pre-trial detention was ordered by the courts after their hearing at the 88th police station.
The 28-year-old woman and her 20-year-old boyfriend were wanted. A suitcase with a bone was found behind the estate of the father-in-law's family in Ipiabas. Both are believed to hide a corpse.
According to Wellington Vieira, the 88th delegate of the DP, the bones could come from the suspect's daughter, who has been missing for six months. After finding the suitcase, the police wait for the result of the necropsy to find out, among other things, if the bone is really the girl and what was the cause of death.
The child has West syndrome, a rare disease characterized by frequent seizures and making speech and locomotion difficult. The disappearance was reported to the police by his biological father and an aunt last Saturday (19).
