SÃO PAULO – Two months after a
viaduct
Marginal Pinheiros, another bridge, this time from
Marginal Tietê
, had a defect in the beams and was
forbidden
by the São Paulo City Hall on Wednesday. The top is an access to the Presidente Dutra Highway, from the Marginal Expressway. According to the Traffic Engineering Company (CET), the structure exhibited cracks.
CET workers are on hand to help drivers and Mayor Bruno Covas (PSDB) visits the scene. Despite the ban, there is no visible leveling difference.
The summit which cracked in November and which gave up two meters, is 500 meters from Jaguaré Bridge to the west and connects the highway to the road to Castello Branco. This is the same type of structure of the top Tietê Marginal and according to the mayor, the cause of the problem is also similar.
During the November break, a driver was slightly injured and five cars were damaged. No injuries to the bridge were blocked this Wednesday.
