The Secretary of State for Metropolitan Transportation said Wednesday (23) that the train operator who, according to the briefing, has caused the closure of the stations of Jabaquara, São Judas and Conceição on the line of 1-blue subway for about two hours, Tuesday morning, was sent back.
According to the Subway, the train driver, who did not disclose the name, did not follow the procedure guided by the Operations Control Center and damaged a track equipment near Jabaquara station around 7:21. The equipment of the track that alternates the steering lanes has been reached and was broken. The maintenance team could not solve the problem, which resulted in the closure of the stations.
On the day of the incident, the coordinator of the Metroviários union, Raimundo Cordeiro, criticized the fact that a dialect operator was implicated. "What caused the movement of the train will be determined," he said, noting that the system of conducting the compositions "has some automation".
