BRUMADINHO (MG) – The third day after the Feijão Creek tragedy, Brumadinho
(MG), the relatives of the people who worked at the Vale mine complain about the difficulty of information and the delay even to include the names of the missing persons on the official lists. Gisele Santana Loures, 22, said that her father's mobile phone still rings and receives messages. For her, this can be a clue that he can be hurt but not killed or buried.
– My father's cell phone is not buried. He may be somewhere in need of help, but they do not want that information I need to give, "said Gisele.
Sebastião Santana Loures, Gisele's father, is 58 years old and was working as a driver at Della Volpi, one of Vale's subcontractors . The last message that he traded against WhatsApp with his family was on Friday at 12:19. But Gisele thinks that he may not be dead because his mobile phone rings and receives messages.
– The battery may be exhausted, but the phone is on. My dad had no health problems and was very smart. If he noticed any movement in the dam, he managed to run – said the young woman.
Gisele stated that only on Saturday was the name of the father in the missing persons list and that the company Della Volpi did not have any other information.
– They have the same information as me. I wanted them to use cellular network data to try to find my father, but no one pays attention to them, "said Gisele.
Gisele sent a message to his father at 12:47 pm today, and the network responded that the message had been sent.
For the second time homeless
David Laurindo Pereira, 39, is a survivor. On Friday, he was at home with his wife and two children, Isabela, 18, and Iraci, a 13-year-old boy, when the dam collapsed. When they heard the din at lunch, they ran towards a nearby hill. The family was saved but lost everything. Without a roof, David sought refuge in the parents' home.
Early on Sunday morning, the mermaid rang for the first time – and for the second time, David, his wife and children had to leave quickly.
It was nearly 10 am and the group was in a health post in a rural area of Brumadinho, still not knowing where to go.
– There was a mermaid today. The day he needed, he had nothing, "complained David.
Elaine Alves Teixeira, barely 15 years old and with her 6-month-old daughter on her lap, was also waiting to leave. She lives in her mother's room, Maria Pinheiro, 41, who had to be evacuated today because she was in the risk zone of the Parauapeba River.
– The water has not arrived yet. I'm just waiting to see what they're going to tell us, "said Elaine.
