A 27-week pregnant woman lost all movement of her body from head to toe. This sad fate in her was caused by a traffic accident in the city of São José do Rio Preto, located about 450 km from the city of São Paulo. The baby was born premature and had to stay in the intensive care unit for five days

The exciting meeting between the two was done with the help of the hospital staff Austa, one of the most important hospitals in the city. After a complicated delivery after the accident, the child was born on January 19th.

Both children survived the tragic event. However, the baby is born premature, with only 32 weeks of gestation. Since birth, mother and son have never had contact, which was only possible five days later.

Despite all the difficulties, this contact took place thanks to the help of employees of Austa Hospital, who did their best to know each other. This was of course a very exciting time for all those present at the time.

According to the hospital's medical bulletin, the mother had to be sedated during childbirth without any time. Shortly after birth, the baby had to go directly to the neonatal ICU, where he was hospitalized for a few days. The mother also needed special care and was referred to the other ICU. Fortunately, both are doing well now.

The anxieties and tensions caused by ordinary birth were not enough, this mother and her child were victims of fate and had lived a little more delicate, even if everything was going well under the circumstances.
