Bahrain will inaugurate an underwater amusement park next winter – it will visit the northern hemisphere
The announcement was made on Oct. 19 the profile on Instagram from the authority of tourism and exhibitions of the Arab country. According to the post, Dive Bahrain will occupy an area of 100,000 square meters – nearly 16 football fields – making it the largest park of its kind in the world.
To attract marine life, there will be submerged objects such as the replica of the home of a local traditional pearl seller, artificial corals and sculptures made of environmentally friendly materials.
But the main attraction will be a Boeing 747 over 70 feet, which will also be submerged.
A spokesman for the Bahraini authorities told CNN that the entire surface of the aircraft would be treated to eliminate in addition traces of oil, rubber and any dirt that could harm the ecosystem marine.

There are already other underwater parks in the world. In the United States, there is an underwater museum in Florida, opened in July of last year. Cancun (Mexico) has its underwater art museum, opened in 2009.
