A woman dies of falling on the New York subway holding a stroller

A 22-year-old Malaysia Goodson woman, is died in New York after falling from the steps of a subway station last Monday (28), she was carrying a stroller and US authorities are now starting to discuss the accessibility of public transportation in the country.

According to the New York Post, the station where the accident occurred did not have a lift, but two escalators that carried pbadengers.

Goodson's daughter, of only one year, was found conscious and without injury.The local police can not tell if the mother of the child was holding or pushed the cart, but it was in his hands, according to witnesses. The New York subway reported that the accident was "a devastating tragedy" and that he was working with the police.

The accident prompted US authorities to criticize the lack of accessibility in New York public transportation. Only 25% of the 472 metro stations in the city are equipped with elevators and, in most cases, they are out of order.
