Nintendo announced this week its report on sales of games and consoles for the important season of the end of the year. The Switch and its games continue to be a success, with quite significant figures: a total of 32.27 million of units of the console were sold, with software sales for it reaching 163.61 million .

Nintendo also released the cumulative sales figures for its previous generation consoles, where we can see that the Switch is almost complete reaching the Nintendo 64, but it's still a bit far from its most damning successes, such as the "Nintendinho" 8bits.
Despite significant numbers in Switch sales, Nintendo will be forced to revise its sales forecast for the year, which is somewhat exaggerated. The company plans to sell a total of 20 million video game units by the end of the fiscal year, which will take place in March. During the period, 15 million consoles were sold and Nintendo now plans to sell "only" 2 million more by the end of the period, thus closing its new forecast of 17 millions for the current year.
