The state deputies elected by Rio de Janeiro were inaugurated Friday afternoon 1 at a ceremony at the Tiradentes Palace, seat of the Legislative Assembly (Alerj).

Six of the elected parliamentarians are imprisoned and therefore did not participate in the ceremony. A meeting of the presidential council must decide on Saturday (2) the mandate of these deputies in the new legislature.
