The cities of Zona da Mata, Barão de Monte Alto, Guarani and Rio Pomba remain on the list of probable high and medium incidences of dengue fever. The city of Rodeiro, however, does not appear in the ranking published by the State Secretariat for Health of Minas Gerais (SES-MG).
However, in the last bulletin, a city in the region appears for the first time in the ranking of probable cases of high and medium incidence chikungunya in Itamarati de Minas. Throughout the state, the city is only behind the town of Gameleiras, north of Minas.

Incidence of probable cases of chikungunya
The stratification of values used by SES-MG contributes to the evaluation, planning and orientation of vector control and health surveillance measures .
According to the state bulletin, the incidence rate estimates the risk of dengue occurrence in a given population at intervals. According to the SES-MG bulletin, in 2019, Minas Gerais recorded 7,505 probable cases (confirmed + suspected cases) of dengue fever. To date, there are two deaths in research for the disease. Last week, probable cases of dengue in the Zona da Mata in the municipalities of Astolfo Dutra, Barão de Monte Alto, Cataguases, Miradouro, Pomba, Santana do Deserto, Senador Firmino, Tocantins, Obá and Visconde do Rio Branco. With regard to chikungunya, 130 probable cases of the disease were registered in the state and two deaths were the subject of an investigation. Probable cases of dengue in the Zona da Mata were recorded in the cities of Astolfo Dutra, Cataguases and Itamarati of Minas. For zika, 34 probable cases of the disease were recorded in 2019.
