SpaceX: How do the endurance tests of spacecraft work?

SpaceX expects its spacecraft to be shipped soon to the Moon and perhaps Mars, but tests are underway to ensure its integrity. Company President Elon Musk unveiled a video showing the thermal shields of ships at temperatures around 1,100 degrees Celsius to demonstrate the type of test performed.

On his Twitter account, Musk showed a video, quite dramatically, of the metal shields lining the spacecraft, receiving the heat of the industrial flamethrowers and supporting temperatures of 1,100 degrees. are a new type of heat shield, working as a "stainless steel sandwich". In fact, a substance, such as water or fuel, is located between the layers of steel and the upper part has small perforations which allow the pbadage of this liquid to the outside, thus helping to cool the ship.

SpaceX, called Starship only, recently had problems with tests in Texas, where strong winds caused part of the spacecraft, requiring several weeks of repair.
