Santos announced Thursday the signing of Peruvian midfielder Christian Cueva of Krasnodar, Russia. The fish will pay 7 million dollars (about 26 million dollars) for the player.
The announcement was made via Twitter, after the Santos have made a "mystery", tell curiosities about Peru, country of origin of the reinforcement, and publish photos of the player.
On paper, Cueva will grant a loan to Santos the first year. Under the agreement, the Brazilian club will only pay the first installment of the purchase in 2020 – which is mandatory and that Santos can not give up. The first year loan however serves as a guarantee to Krasnodar, who can suspend the transfer next year if he does not receive the combined amount.

At age 27, Cueva was a request from Jorge Sampaoli to strengthen the Santos field. The Peruvian is in the style of the coach and was the fourth athlete announced by Fish in the season.
Cueva made his name in Brazil after pbading through São Paulo, where he played from 2016 to 2018. At Tricolor do Morumbi, he became a leader in badistance and scored 20 goals in 89 games.
Cueva is the second largest contractor in the history of Santos, behind Leandro Damião, who costed 42 million rand in 2014.
Peru is the seventh largest foreign distributor – only five can be connected by match. Brazil.
