The Federal Supreme Court Minister, Edson Fachin, on Friday (8) suspended the decision of the Santa Catarina justice that had released the state's representative, Ana Caroline Campagnolo (PSL), to maintain in social networks a channel of denunciation the behavior of teachers in the clbadroom
Fachin responded to a request for suspension formulated by the prosecutor's office following the decision of the Court in October, in which the ministers understood that the manifestation of thought was to be free in the universities.
In the decision, the minister said that the MP "encourages students to behave as agents of the state", while it is not even the state himself who controls the demonstrations of teachers. "By calling on students to exercise real control over teachers' statements, the MP conveys the idea that this is permissible and encourages them to feel empowered to control and denounce protests. a political party or an ideology opposed to them, "said Fachin.
The case began at the end of last year. Shortly after the end of the second round of the presidential election, the MP published in her Facebook profile the demand for students to film or record "any partisan or ideological demonstrations that humiliate or undermine their freedom of belief and conscience ".
Ana Caroline also asked that students "feeling their rights violated" use a tape recorder or a camera to record the behavior of a teacher and denounce the behavior of the latter by sending the videos and information to a teacher. number of people on their personal page.
The prosecutor appealed to the local court to suspend publication. Then, a judge of first instance determined the immediate withdrawal of the demonstration from the social networks.
