President Jair Bolsonaro said Saturday in a social network that the Minister of Infrastructure, Tarcisio Freitas, will announce measures of "debureaucratisation and economy" for the traffic.

Bolsonaro mentioned certain measures such as the extension of the validity of the national driver's license (CNH) and the end of compulsory courses in driving schools with simulators. Without giving details of the changes, the president also said that "the measures that affect truck drivers will be extinguished or revised" and talked about the simplification of the license.

The resolution of the National Traffic Board (Contran) mandating the use of simulators by auto schools is 2015.

In the same publication, the president stated that Contran was disrupting the life of those who transport to Brazil.

"The Brazilian government issues about 100 resolutions a year, disrupting the lives of those who transport to Brazil," said Bolsonaro.

At the end of last year, the president had already talked about extending the validity of the CNH. Currently, the CNH is valid for five years.

With the ministerial reform carried out in January, the government of Contran became subordinate to the Ministry of Infrastructure, headed by the Minister Tarcisio Gomes de Freitas. Until then, the council was connected to the Ministry of Cities, now gone.
