At dawn of last Sunday (10), Anderson Silva returned to the MMA after two years of absence. On Sunday, about ten hours after the end of UFC 234, Chris Weidman published a suggestive article on his social networks. With a picture facing Anderson in front of him, the Brazilian's main tormentor left holes for the fans to interpret the publication as a desire for a trilogy between the two.
Anderson and Chris have already met twice in symbolic fights, both in 2013. In the first of these cases, the American shocked the world by knocking out Spider and ending to the reign of the Brazilian in Ultimate. Five months later, in December of the same year, Silva fractured his leg after shooting Weidman and suffered the second setback for the athlete who became the biggest stone of his shoe.
But despite the 'All American', as he is known, to face Silva for the third time, the Brazilian has other plans for the end of his career. The veteran said he would like to face Nick Diaz in his hometown of Curitiba, UFC 237, scheduled for May 11.
Nick, like Weidman, is an old acquaintance of the Brazilian. Anderson defeated Diaz in 2015, but the result of the fight was turned into "no competition" after Spider and the American were stopped at doping control. During his MMA career, Silva added 34 wins, 9 losses and a no-show match, as his rival plans his next job.
